Leg day brought to me by ibuprofen, tylenol, and a baby! 😅 yesterday something slowly took over my body and by the end of the night I felt so sick! My teeth were chattering from shivering, sore throat, ear ache, body aches.. took some meds (not all at once, don't worry!) And said some prayers and finally woke up seound 9 this morning feeling *mostly* fabulous 🤩 seriously so grateful to have a baby who SLEEPS! For now anyway 🤞 but I've read that exercise during pregnancy actually HELPS babys sleep, so I'm patting myself on the back there👏

I needed to drop my weights so Raelyn actually ended up being my extra challenge to get down lower and hold my core tighter (check out my stories!) My seated dumbbell press is a couple weeks away from being the best it's ever been which is exciting, and bench press is moving pretty smoothly as well so hopefully I'll be hitting 110kg again in the next month or two.

This seems to be such a common problem! People think they’re nutrition is on point, but they’re still not loosing any weight 👀 Here are a few reasons why this may be happening 🙋🏽‍♀️

🌈 Not being in a calorie deficit - if you want to lose weight, you need to be burning more calories than you’re consuming 🧠 Just because you’re eating foods that are branded as ‘healthy’ it doesn’t always mean they’re the best foods for weight loss! Take nuts for example, they’re considered a ‘healthy’ snack that’s high in protein...but they’re also quite high in calories 👀 So just be careful with things like that! @thefitnesschef has loads of example of this on his account so take a look at that for some more info
🌈 Not accurately tracking calories - let’s say you’ve been given set calories and you’re tracking using myfitnesspal...these calories might put you in a calorie deficit, but if you’re not tracking it accurately it could really hinder your progress 🙅🏽‍♀️ Weighing foods out can seem like such a chore but it can really make a difference, especially with things like pasta, oats, rice, cereal etc...you might put 50g oats into MFP (190 calories) but if you don’t weigh it, you might end up having 75g (285 calories) so that’s nearly 100 extra calories that haven’t been accounted for! These will add up over time 👀
🌈 Going over board at the weekend - everyone needs to have a treat every now and again 🍔 but if every fri-sun consists of going completely off track, it’s not going to get you anywhere 🤷🏽‍♀️ Yes, have a takeaway on a Friday night, but don’t let that one off track meal turn into a whole weekend!

💧3x8 Russian Hamstrings: These are killer.
💥modify with stability ball curls
💧 3x10 Cable Sumo squats SS 3x6+6 adduction walks. I love these. They have really helped my adductor imbalances.
💧2x50abductions. Start heavy and Drop weight when you burn out. Yes, 50 Burn baby burn.🔥
💥modify and use booty band.
💧3x4+4 leg extensions. Squeeze as hard as you can at the top and pause.
💥modify and use dumbbells
💧 cool down work: ( or warmup) 90/90 swivels with internal rotation. .

Our workout was as follows :
1️⃣ box squats - pyramid set (increasing the weight and reducing the reps along the 4 sets)
2️⃣ leg press - wide stance into narrow (pyramid sets again)
3️⃣ superset - elevated heel goblet squats into single leg RDLS (these are hardcore 🥴)
4️⃣ superset - elevated kettlebell RDLS into hyperextensions (added weight for resistance) 🍑
5️⃣ superset - cable pulls throughs into walking lunges * all supersets 10 reps of each, 4 sets *

35 weeks today and we are getting so close 💕
I've been feeling great for most of the time but it's getting a little harder and more painful to walk these days 🙈 Little man is getting heavy and moving into place which means he is kicking away at my ribs 😅

I managed to go for a nice walk today but I had to go as slow as a snail 😝 I'm happy I can at least keep moving. I've not been to the gym for a little while since we are fixing up the house so much and hunting after all the baby things we need. But I'm still trying to get as much exercise as I can!

ABDUCTION 💪🏼 .
1. Arched back (anterior pelvic tilt) is more hip dominant. Still engage the glutes and rep it out for 20-30 reps.

2. Posterior pelvic tilt is more glute dominant. Engage the glutes for another 20-30 reps. .
I will repeat this superset for 3-4 sets! Give it a try on your next leg day. 🥰

1️⃣ STOP COMPARING: Hitting your goals is a process, it doesn't happen over night. For awhile I was comparing myself to people who have been training for YEARS and I got in my head and started pushing myself WAYY TOO HARD, therefore, recently I've had to take a step down from the way I was "dieting" to how hard I was pushing my body and not giving it enough rest. Which brings me to my next one.
2️⃣ REST REST REST: I strongly believe our bodies are capable of more than what our minds believe. Although pushing yourself past limits you never thought possible is a good thing, it could also be a bad thing. You have to take into account a lot of factors within your life and lifestyle. Bringing down stress levels can have a major negative affect on your body, excuse me not can, WILL have a negative affect on your body. Lower stress levels, be patient, and give your body the REST it needs. 
3️⃣ CONSISTENCY GETS RESULTS. Make a plan and STICK WITH IT. PROGRESSIVELY add more weight when you can handle it. DON'T be one of those arrogant people that ego lift (lifting more than you can actually handle just to show off) it only boosts your ego, nothing else. 
4️⃣ NUTRITION: You can workout like a mad man but if you're eating shit, well, you'll have shit results.. people always ask how hard I train myself, how heavy I'm lifting all that ya da ya da ya da...Correct nutrition is KEY to proper gains, you can still enjoy what you want, don't cut everything entirely, just learn control and everything in moderation. 
5️⃣ DRINK YOUR DAMN WATER AND EAT THEM VEGGIES! Water is soooo important not just because you're working out, but umm hello, majority of our body is made up of water soo hydrate yourself 😘
