I had a good squat session today. Today was the first time that I did 405 in a while. I thought I was going to get stuck in the hole but was able to push out of it. I practiced changing my stance up at the end to a wider base. It seemed to give me more pop out of the hole and allowed me to activate my hamstrings and glutes more. I think I am going to continue practicing with the wide stance.

Big time PR tonight!! Hit an AMRAP set on squats with 315lbs for 16 reps!! Apparently that estimates a 540lb squat 😁😁

⚠️Real talk⚠️ I've been currently dealing with mild sciatic nerve pain due to my sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

The sciatic is a large nerve that runs from the lower back down the back of each leg. When something injures or puts pressure on the sciatic nerve, it can cause pain in the lower back that spreads to the hip, buttocks, and leg.  The pain can be excruciating it causes a stabbing-burning sensation in my lower back and down my entire left leg.😞 Even with physical therapy it has been really hard to get myself back to where I was and hopefully one day surpass it. The frustration of how I used to leg press 540 lbs and now I can barely squat with 25 lbs before my back aches😥. It breaks my heart.💔 It feels as my strength that I worked years for has been ripped out from under me.

Betrayed by my own body feels like I was stabbed in the back (literally😅). Thankfully with time and more physical therapy I will be able to go back to pushing myself beyond my limits.🙏🏼 I guess the point of all this is, you're only as weak as your mindset is. I cannot begin to describe how many pep talks I've had to have with myself to keep myself from getting upset/frustrated with my incompetent body.😑 Everyday waking up and hoping the pain will be gone. I tell myself the simplest phrase: it's going to be okay😊🥰

If you physically cannot hit squat depth the 1st thing I check is calves. I think because they are small and down low its easy to overlook & neglect them but the body functions as a unit. So everything needs to function well as a unit. 
Tight calves can pull your feet and hips out of proper alignment leaded to unnecessary injuries or tweaks.
