但中醫偏偏係幾千年前已經講緊情緒與身體的聯繫。

Went to a mental health talk this evening. It’s absolutely good that there are more and more awareness on this. .
How to identify earlier and how to prevent this issue are commonly asked. 
In Chinese medicine, there are many body signs can be diagnosed in the early stage of emotional disorders. - pulse reading about your character - Color of the veins on the wrist and palm - Lines on the ears - Sleeping patterns 
There are so much signs that our body would tell us and that can help us preventing diseases. .
I found it very ironic when speakers pointed out a phenomenon that Chinese community dun really talk about mental health while Chinese medicine has been addressing the link between emotions and physical symptoms few thousand years ago. .
Remember, it’s normal to have emotions. No shame in talking about our feelings. After all we all have emotions and we need them to help us moving forward in life. •

"I read the news today oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade"  The Beatles, "A day in the life" (1967). I had the basic idea for this study when listening to this song on its 50th anniversary. What is a day, a week, a month, a year in the life of our patients?
I asked myself and, with some colleagues, we tried to see how a random "year in the life" would be in terms of healthcare needs, emergency consultations, hospitalizations, changes in treatments for patients affected by bipolar disorder or schizoaffective bipolar disorder.

The strongest predictors of hospitalization are clinical features related to the inner tension and acute suffering, that may result in aggressiveness, directed to others or, with devastating effects, to themselves.

Patients that received proper treatment had to experience fewer changes in treatment and had a lower risk for hospitalization. 
Treatment is not an answer to everything but is the first and fundamental step in order to build quality of life for our patients.

I am really thankful to all the coauthors, an international team of researchers and friends, for this result.

Most thoughts you want to change are painful have been with you for some time.

It is hard to go from thinking: "I am fat and always will be" to suddenly thinking, "Thin is effortless!".

The process of thinking a new thought can sometimes be a choice, and other times it’s a process of healing, practice, and a ton of effort.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You most likely will have so much evidence for old thoughts and your brain doesn’t want to believe anything it can’t instantly have evidence for.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Be willing to be wrong about what you’re currently thinking.
Your brain will resist the change, but with some dedication and practice, it will find evidence for any thought.
That is the beauty of our brain!

My top says it all 💗 and it’s ok to be winging  it. Becoming a mum has been the hardest and most  rewarding and enjoyable rollercoaster. There has been hard days , not latching, mastitis twice (so painful ) weight dipping , tongue tie (found late on) strong gag reflex , High marrow palate, early teething, but the highs out weigh it all ,the smiles, the giggles, the reaching  mile stones, the finger holding (love this) the bond and love we share. You will forever be my greatest achievement. Delsey I love you more then you will ever know. No one can prepare you for motherhood but my god is it worth it. lil’ update for you guys; i’m doing well but i could be better if i had adhd medication sorted out unfortunately i’ve got to wait for this to be sorted and it’s going to take 3 weeks and that’s with it being private care😩!! i feel a lot more stable recently, i hope it lasts. i know with bpd it doesn’t always last but it’s worth it when i do get stable periods🥰. i start pre-treatment dbt tomorrow, i think it’s for 10/11 weeks but i can’t actually remember, i have a women doing my 1-1 which is good because i’m more open with women than i am men.

Every day you should make time to prioritize your mental health. 
Mental health does not just mean having a mental illness. It is something everyone needs to attend to, just like your physical health.

If you’re trying to be physically healthy you exercise, eat right, get a good night’s sleep. Mental health prioritization is no different.  You need to attend to your physical body, but you also need to attend to your mind. Do something that brings you joy. Practice mindfulness. Meditate. Exercise. Take time for you every day. Connect with friends. Read a good book.

I challenge you to find one way this week to make your mental health a priority.

So it's been a while since I've been to the gym, life gets in the way and you put things off. But lately I've been really harsh to myself, I've been looking through some old photos and its mad to see just how far I've come. Yes I may not be happy with my body at the moment, but I can still see the progress I've made over the past few years. Not only with the way I look but with how happy I am in general, I have an amazing boyfriend who I love more than anything, I have a foundation degree that I am turning into a batchelors degree, I'm working on a career for myself and I have amazing friends and family in my life. Working at home has helped me so much so far. I have been taking less meds because I’m not in so much pain. Sitting at a desk in an uncomfortable chair for 8 hours a day is not ideal. Also I feel less anxious, stressed and I haven’t cried once! Where as when I’m in the office I seem to cry every day. From trimming toxic relationships to healing emotional wounds. We are our own keepers guyd so we must tend to our  health and hearts to be our best selves. I hope you practice self-care today and all days — even in small ways — because you are absolutely worth it.

Are you aware of what you are grateful for in your life? 
If you do not or have never journaled, I HIGHLY suggest it. It’s an easy step into knowing what is happening daily in your life. It will give you a great perspective into what you are truly grateful for and all the good happening around you. 
I truly believe we Create our Good. Take the time to slow down, and assess. Life can be hard, and sad. But if you are aligned with the good you have in life, it makes the hard moments a little less powerful.
