Didn’t find the old piece of art I was looking for, but came upon many pieces I’d forgotten, like this one. Think I’ll post some of the found art for a while.
For years I’ve mostly been working small and completely based on what I see in existing paper patterns or random patterns I lay down with paint. I love it - recently thought of appropriate term: scrying - but a few months ago I bought a projector and in last week I bought a light table, new compass and protractor - have wanted to start building art up from larger, more planned patterns and designs.
Piece I was looking for was done over a geometric knotwork my ex had made. He gave me many printouts and copies of designs over the years for me to build art from, but I never really did. Have to find that folder.
Just now finding older, larger art, with more defined images and bolder colors - working up from black used to be my favorite - is a trip. I used to work differently and using many methods. I’ve been looking forward to trying new ways - but have to remember that some are old for me. 🙂 #artonblackpaper
