I never really share like this on the gram, but this weekend has done a number on a LOT of people. I literally haven’t stopped thinking about it all. The conversation around mental health awareness is so important, but where does awareness end and action for change start? Do these areas overlap as much as they should? It shouldn’t take someone taking their own life to remind us to show kindness & compassion to others.
For me, this tragic situation is a startling reminder of how fragile life is. Quite frankly it terrifies me. But for now, I’m taking a moment to step back, take a deep breath, and appreciate how grateful I am for the wonderful people in my life. ⠀⠀
Rest assured, if you’re looking for me, I’ll be spending the day with an endless supply of tea followed by a few home comforts tonight. And that’s okay, if we can learn anything it’s that self-care is a necessity, not a luxury. As for feeling down? That’s okay, too. Just remember to check on your loved ones, no matter how strong they seem. Life’s too short…💗 #saramillerlondon #spreadkindness #spreadlove #mentalhealthawareness #selfcare #selflove #happinessfirst #bekind #treatyourself #compassionforall
