This little painting: Cloud Shadows on the Hills, was painted on the last day of our holiday. It was the view from the terrace across towards the foothills of the Magaliesberg mountains. I love the way the cloud shadows slide across the land on a rollercoaster of hills and valleys.
Now that the holiday portion of our trip has come to an end, I’m starting to work on exhibitions and workshops for 2020. I’m still travelling for the next 10 days and my first exhibition is the @eastanglianwatercolourists

for which I need to prepare 5 paintings. Three done. Two to go. But with work commitments, I won’t have time to paint until later this week so I may be under a bit of pressure to get them done before the deadline.
How do you deal with deadlines? Are you a ‘get it done early’ person, or is your best work done at the eleventh hour?
