I talked to a good friend this week about work, life, and everything in between—how at 50-something so many of our peers are looking forward to retirement and I’m over here still excited about getting my new one going!
I’ve been a “late bloomer” for most things in my life: puberty 🤣, graduating College, starting my first career in Nursing . . .
Sometimes when we’re “late to the party” we adopt a belief that it’s “too late”, but I’ve been “late” my whole life and I can tell you, if you’re still breathing oxygen, you (and your life) have potential!
*I turned 46 the year I stepped onstage for the first time, as a Mom of 5, in a bikini that hardly qualified as one (I did not let my kids go to my show. It wasn’t that I was embarrassed, it’s that my children were young and my goal was to raise all five of them to develop a healthy sense of self-esteem and instead of buying into society’s “approval” or validation). It was the right call, but I digress.
I’m working today, because: 1) It still excites me, 2) My Clients are counting on me, and 3) Even at 52, I believe it’s not too late to pursue my goals and dream—plus, I’m still breathing oxygen! lol
What gets you excited for life?
