Hello everyone, Sorry I've been quiet this week, I've been quietly completing orders, and coming up with some new drawings and ideas for new stock that will be coming soon. I'm looking forward to the weekend, and more time at the beach. Nothing clears your head better than the sound of the sea ⛱️
Did you make a New Years Resolution?
In a recent @professionalbeauty magazine article, a small piece highlighted something that is the blight of many professional therapists. Reminders to clients that they need to use products; not save them for a ‘special occasion’
Now we all know of those beautifully packaged products we have sat on the dressing table, or looking glam on glass shelves in our bathroom.
But how long have they been sat there?
Apparently, almost a quarter of us (23% of Brits) are using beauty products that have expired. With 17% percent of you stating that you won’t stop using them until the product appears ‘off’
So if you made a resolution to declutter, why not check your cosmetics bag ;skin & body products.
All companies that produce cosmetics (under the EU Cosmetics Regulations) are obligated to include a lifespan date on all packaging . This is the little indication tub often found on the back, indicating a safe to use timeline from opening.
If you’re using an old product it will often loose or change its smell ( fake-tans are well known for this), the colour, taste - yes really- think about your lipstick, also textures alter too.
Over time; it can cause breakouts and possibly bacterial infections.
So... as with all things today. Use it, or loose it (....in the case of that product; to the bin)

I had a busy Monday printing lots of mugs and these cushions. It's the first time someone has chosen the brown chicken over the white one, I love it! I also worked with my customer for this poem cushion - the wording has changed slightly compared to my usual design to fit with the customer better 😊
