my personally favorite china of all time number one that practically works with absolutely any genre! I clearly remember seeing it in catalogs when I was a kid not even knowing who's the manufacturer or series, anything at all!
But I was always fascinated by the construction of the cymbal, it's half of the china and half of the regular crash cymbal. #dimensions had #powerchina which was a bit similar construction cymbal, an inverted china but that one was with flat bell. #johnrobinson has a new ride which is also inverted china called #swishride
sonic structure if novo china is very interesting, it's surely a china but very explosive with pretty stable sustain due to possibly other half that's a crash :). I've been using it pretty much ever since I bought it 5-6 yrs ago. i usually have two crashes and a china live but since clubs only have regular sets I had to switch to 1 crash and 1 china and it works! we have have few moments with heavy grooves with china as a 1st note and this beast rips absolutely every beat! @davelombardo used #rude version for a while but then switched back to #2002 version. I didn't like the RUDE one but 2002 has a lot of projection, warmth and presence. any fans out there?
