People often tell me "how lucky I am" to travel the world and work in these incredible locations 🏂 I have been very fortunate indeed and the Universe has looked after me BUT this has nothing to do with luck. My incredible fortune has to do with hard work, being willing to put in crazy hours and absolutely not giving up 💪 .
When in the beginning of January I shared with you my goal to find a job in the Alps in 10 days many of you laughed at me and told me how that is impossible, especially in the middle of the season. Difficult yes, very difficult perhaps, but impossible is nothing 🤯
So I got to work 💻 Spent next 10 days applying 24/7 for every single job opening off every single ski job website, responding to every single Facebook group post, reaching out to companies I was interested to work with AND interviewing. Every day, sometimes twice a day. Eventually I chose an incredible opportunity to work as Resort Mgr in Val d'Isere 🏔 Contract arrived on Fri, Jan 10, 23:45 🕰 .
7 days later, packing in a hurry, forgetting half the things for spring, getting stuck in a snowstorm, partying with the frenchies by the side of the road at 2am, I eventually arrived in resort at 3am and started my new job at 8am 👩💼
Finishing with a quote by Charles Darwin: "It is not the strongest of the species, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change." How's your adaptability? And how hard are you willing to work for your goals? #valdisere #frenchalps #newyearresolutions #missionaccomplished
