How to make a difference in the world 🌎..
I’ve talked about this before, but it’s certainly worth repeating because we are all here to be re-minded & to re-member who we truly are✨
Wether you’re waiting in a line up in a public place or waiting at the bus stop, it doesn't matter where you are! That moment is your universe, and within that moment you have 3 choices.. 1. You could stare aimlessly around you, get lost in needless thought out trawl thru ur phone.
2. You could turn to the person next to you & complain about the situation.
3. You could turn to the person next to you, smile & ask about their day. If they go off on a negative tangent, find a positive to make them feel better.
Trust me, I’ve done numbers 1 & 2 many times. But what I’ve come to realise thru experience, is that not only is it a waste time. I also don’t feel any better afterwards. Whereas when I decide to go with option 3, I always leave with a smile, knowing I did a good deed. I brightened someone’s day. I inspired someone to change or just to look at the bright side ☀️ We’re not going to change the world by doing what we’ve always done. We have to BE different, we have to ACT different, we have to CHANGE the way we live.
Don’t ever say, “but I’m just one person.. what can one person do?”
That’s “Little Me” victim mentality, that was a learned behaviour, it’s old societal conditioning. It’s passing the buck, passing the blame. It’s what we’ve bern taught, to suppress who we really are, so that we can easily be controlled & manipulated by society.
I’m here to spread a good message & that message is to look to it neighbour as a greater part of urself. By simply saying, “I am that”, every time you walk past a stranger, every time u walk past a homeless person, everyone u wander the streets. This mindful practice enables us to EMPATHISE, to place ourselves in the shoes of another & to accept the greater responsibility of our extended human family. That’s the only way forward, that’s the only way to create a better world 🌎 ✌🏽💜 Name a time you stopped to talk to a stranger & mention the positive impact it had on your life.
